Know Your Genotype Today, Empower Tomorrow!

Every healthy future begins with knowledge—and one simple test can make all the difference.

The CMF Screen Project, a flagship initiative of the Concerned Medics Foundation under its Diaspora Health Impact Initiative, is committed to reducing the burden of sickle cell disease through genotype screening, education, and healthcare capacity building across Northeast Nigeria.

From 8th to 26th July 2026, the project will:

  1. Screen 2,000 school children, to help them know their genotype.
  2. Educate students on genotype awareness and sickle cell prevention.
  3. Train 60 healthcare workers in sickle cell care and genetic counselling.

Sickle cell disease remains one of Nigeria’s most pressing public health challenges, but awareness is one of our strongest tools for prevention. By helping young people understand their genotype early, we empower them to make informed decisions that can shape healthier futures for themselves and generations to come.

The CMF Screen Project is more than a campaign—it’s a movement to build stronger communities through knowledge, prevention, and accessible healthcare.

Whether you’re a parent, educator, healthcare professional, organization, or supporter, your partnership can help create lasting impact.
